About the Workshop

The Tokyo Innovation Workshop is a workshop of the GPAI-associated project aimed to foster synergy and innovation by identifying key challenges related to AI development and discussing promising solutions to address them.

This workshop will follow in the footsteps of previous workshops organized by the Centers of the GPAI expert community in 2023 in Montreal and in 2024 in Paris.

The workshop will bring together a wide range of AI experts and government representatives from around the world to discuss future projects on themes such as interoperability of international AI governance frameworks, multilingual and multicultural AI, open-source AI, and AI utilizations in the Global South and strengthening the domestic and international AI ecosystem.

Organizer:

Based on the GPAI Work Plan 2025, Tokyo Expert Support Center (NICT) will implement this workshop as the GPAI-associated project in collaboration with the two Centers of the GPAI expert community: CEIMIA and Inria.
